We hope you have a wonderful experience with us. It is imperative that you read and accept the following terms and conditions as they apply to the use of our website and any reservation you may have with us at the Alpine Lodge.

Any content found on this website remains the property of The Hideaway of Rotorua and may be modified, added to or removed at any time without liability or responsibility to inform users. Terms and conditions apply at the time the reservation is made.

Room Rate

Room rate offered is in New Zealand dollars and includes GST (Good & Services tax) of 15%. This is subject to change without prior notice as per New Zealand government ruling.

Payment Policy

All reservations require a valid credit card at the time of booking to guarantee the reservation. The guarantee ensures that your reservation will be held from 2PM on the day of arrival until 10AM on the day of departure. Invalid credit cards will result in cancellation of the reservation and a minimum charge of $50 cancellation fee applied.

The Hideaway of Rotorua reserves the right to charge or pre-authorise a credit card on bookings made via online booking sites.

If your credit card declines or deposit for bookings is not received in time, your booking may be cancelled without further notice. The balance of accommodation and any extra fees need to be paid upon check in. Extended nights, damage or incidentals incurred must be settled before departure.

After check in there will be no refund under any circumstance for the whole booking, i.e. early departure. We are not responsible or accountable for unexpected changes to booking due to (but not limited to) bad weather, personal medical situation, booked wrong date, travel plans change etc. We recommend travel insurance be obtained for your travels to protect you from such instances.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations booked via this website or direct with The Hideaway Rotorua are able to be cancelled, without penalty up to 7 days prior to arrival, with the exception of reservations made utilising the ‘Advance Purchase’ discount code which requires 100% pre-payment and remains non-refundable at all times.

Changes and cancellations to bookings made up to 7 Days before the arrival date/time are without charge. Thereafter the deposit may be charged. The total value of the booking may be charged if changes/cancellations are made with less than 72 Hours notice.

If a guest fails to arrive for a reservation without prior notice of a cancellation, the total value of the booking may be charged and any remaining nights of the reservation will be cancelled.

Specific cancellation policies apply to Event Dates and will be notified at the time of booking.

The Hideaway of Rotorua does not guarantee that any or all deposits or payments paid to a third party reservation provider will be refunded and is not liable for any shortfall. Please contact the third party provider to arrange cancellation, modifications or refunds.

Check In & Check Out Policy

Check-in is available from 2.pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 10.am on the day of departure. Early check-in and/or check-out is by arrangement only. Early check in and/ Late check outs may incur an extra charge. Check in time finishes at 7.30pm, if arriving late please arrange this directly via a phone call on the day, or email no later the day prior of arrival.

Children Policy

Children 2 years of age and under are free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult and using a port-a-cot or existing bedding. Children are still included in the maximum occupancy of a room. Cots are available on request, free of charge.

It is the caregivers responsibility to supervise children at all times and Rotorua Hideaway can not accept any liability for injury or damage to property.

Error Policy

Any reservation made on The Hideaway Rotorua website is made at your own risk. All information entered at the time of reservation will be deemed correct and final. Rotorua Hideaway must be contacted if there is an error, but will not be held responsible for any financial liability for the reservation or information confirmed.

Rotorua Hideaway reserves the right to amend or cancel any reservation that has been processed due to website or software error. The guest will be notified as soon as possible in the event of such an error.

All information found on this website is deemed accurate and current at the time of posting. Although the Hideaway Lodge endeavours to keep this information up to date, information is subject to change without notice.
